As we fast approach the festive season, many of us will be planning how to approach festive gift buying, especially for children! There are always so many things to do, and buying great gifts is really important for most people.
First, have a solid plan. Make sure you are clear with yourself if you have a set budget, or number of gifts to buy. If you are buying for lots of children, you might want to set a budget per child, or number of gifts per child in the name of fairness.
Next, write a list – come up with themes, ideas, hobbies and other ‘crazes’ which might be useful on your gift buying trip. The more ideas you have, the easier it will be when you hit the shops. If your child has any groups like Brownies or Scouts they attend, it might be worth checking if there is anything you could get to help them, such as warm sleeping bags for camping, or blankets to sew their badges onto!
